Air Ambulances UK (AAUK), the national charity supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s air ambulance charities, is proud to announce its new partnership with Peninsula Group, a global leader in providing employment law, HR, and health & safety services to businesses worldwide. 

Peninsula Group, renowned for its comprehensive support to businesses ranging from small start-ups to well-known brands, aligns with AAUK’s mission to ensure the best possible chance of survival and patient outcome for everyone in need of lifesaving pre-hospital care. 

Under the new partnership, Peninsula Group will extend its support to AAUK, contributing to the funding and increasing awareness of the UK’s Air Ambulance charities. The three-year partnership will run from 2024 – 2027, during which Peninsula has committed to raising £1 million to enhance the lifesaving efforts of Air Ambulance charities across the UK.

We asked our employees to nominated charities that were close to their heart, and it was clear from these nominations just how much our support could help. So we’re delighted to make this commitment to them today. 

“To raise this ambitious target, our employees will take part in multiple fundraising activities throughout the partnership. The company will also be enabling employees to sign up for payroll giving. All fundraising activities and payroll deductions will be matched pound for pound in corporate donations, ensuring that the £1m minimum target is achieved.  Giving back to the community through donations of time and financial support is one of the key foundations of the Peninsula Group and aligns with our core group values – We Care, We Take Action, and We Do the Right Thing. There is so much that we can do to help, and we’re excited about the difference we can make.”

Each lifesaving mission by air costs on average £4,510* and are funded almost entirely by donations. * The cost per mission varies, depending on geography, patient need and the clinical and operational models of the local air ambulance charity. 

Through joint initiatives and fundraising activities, Air Ambulances UK and Peninsula Group will work collaboratively to raise awareness and funds for the UK’s air ambulance charities. The partnership highlights the shared commitment of both organisations to ensuring the availability of immediate medical care and support for individuals facing life-threatening emergencies.
