Air Ambulances UK join forces with The Virtual Pub Quiz

Air Ambulances UK has teamed up with The Virtual Pub Quiz – the lockdown phenomenon that is bringing together 180,000+ keen quizzers each week.

The partnership will boost funds for the UK’s 21 air ambulance charities lifesaving work, who are dispatched on 70+ lifesaving missions each day.

Creator and host Jay Flynn who started the quiz ‘for a laugh’ has won a Community Award from Prime Minister Boris Johnson and has set a new Guinness World Records title for most viewers of a YouTube live stream quiz when an incredibly 182,513 viewers played along.

Jay has also been joined by famous faces such as Stephen Fry and Scarlett Moffatt, raising money for multiple charities including the RNLI, NHS Charities Together and now Air Ambulances UK.

The partnership will raise much-needed funds and awareness for the UK’s air ambulance charities who have played a vital role on the frontline response to Covid-19 whilst still delivering lifesaving care in their local communities. Each mission costs around approx. £2,500 and is almost entirely funded by donations; there is no regular direct funding from the Government.

Join Jay live from 7.50pm for an 8.15pm start on Thursday 20th, 27th August and Sat 22nd, 29th August on Facebook and YouTube to show your support for the UK’s air ambulance charities. Quizzers are being encouraged to donate to participate in the quiz.

If you cannot join in with the quiz, please feel free to share on your social media as this really helps the success of the quiz and will help us to achieve more viewers!
