Air Ambulances UK launches search for CEO to lead its vital mission

We have launched a search for our first CEO who will be responsible for the successful delivery of our vital mission supporting, representing and advocating the the lifesaving work of the nation’s air ambulance charities and the wider air ambulance sector.

This fantastic opportunity will see an outstanding individual provide leadership and management to the organisation, which recently completed a successful merger with the Association of Air Ambulances Ltd, the long-standing membership body for the air ambulance sector.

Our merger forms one single entity able to provide a much more streamlined and effective way to achieve the aim of improving pre-hospital care for patients across the UK.

Our new CEO  will work closely with our Chair and Board of Trustees to set strategic direction, as well as being responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the charity. They will also act as an ambassador, developing and brokering strategic partnerships and collaborations with all stakeholders and working to ensure that AAUK offers an invaluable service to Members and the wider air ambulance community.

The CEO will have strong strategic leadership and operational management ability, as well as excellent communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Knowledge of and the ability to transform strategy into delivery with clarity and accuracy, and a demonstrable capacity to develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders, will be key attributes for this post.
