STUNNING PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION FOR WILTSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE
WILTSHIRE Air Ambulance will feature in a stunning photography exhibition by award-winning Sony Europe imaging ambassador Terry Donnelly.
Terry recently spent three days with the pilots and paramedics to get a unique insight into the charity’s work and to capture images of them during their daily duties.
He has now selected over 40 images to exhibit to the public, initially at the charity’s airbase in Semington from December 9-13 (10am-6pm).
Photographs will then feature from the exhibition at the Royal Photographic Society national headquarters in Bristol from January 9-12, before returning to Wiltshire at Chippenham Town Hall from January 13-17.
As Wiltshire Air Ambulance celebrates its 30th year of operations in 2020, other locations across the county have also been earmarked to host the exhibition, with details to follow (keep an eye on the charity’s social media for further details).
Wiltshire Air Ambulance chief executive David Philpott says: “From the very first moment Terry met with us to discuss this project at the idea stage, he has been a consummate professional.
“He worked closely with the aircrew and our charity staff to tell a story of what we do in pictures and we can’t wait for everyone to see his work.”
Terry is the holder of four fellowships in photography with four different organisations and has had work exhibited in over 25 countries earning in excess of 230 international awards.
He has also won photographer of the year awards in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Mr Donnelly says: “My sincere thanks goes out to all at Wiltshire Air Ambulance for granting me access in such an open and honest manner to obtain the photographs for the exhibition.
“To witness amazing people providing an incredible service at close quarters was something I will never forget.
“The support from Sony during this project has made this project possible and the printing of the exhibition by Fotospeed has made the exhibition a reality.”
