Air Ambulances UK is delighted to share a significant update from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Air Ambulances (APPGAA).
Following the resignation of former Chair, Robert Courts MP, due to the appointment of Solicitor General for England and Wales on 7 December 2023, Pete Wishart MP was successfully elected as the new Chair of the APPGAA following an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 30 January 2024.
Pete previously held the position of Vice-Chair within the APPGAA and has been actively engaged in the APPGAA since the relaunch on 5 July 2023.
Pete is the Scottish National Party MP for Perth and North Perthshire, and has been an MP continuously since 7 June 2001.
We extend our sincere congratulations to Pete and express our appreciation for his continued dedication to advancing the APPGAA.
In light of Robert’s appointment as Solicitor General, we convey our warmest congratulations, and thank Robert for his vital contributions to the APPGAA.
The APPGAA aims to raise the quality of care and effectiveness of air ambulance charities for patients through engagement with political leaders and policy makers on key issues that relate to improvements in the delivery of the UK’s air ambulance charities lifesaving services.
