Revving Up Support: A Winning Season for Air Ambulances UK at BTCC!
What an incredible season it has been for Air Ambulances UK at the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC)! We’re excited to share that this season raised an impressive £21,095.88, which will directly support air ambulance charities across the UK in their lifesaving work.
Partnering with Kwik Fit this season has given us the chance to connect with so many BTCC fans and raise awareness of the vital role air ambulance charities play. A special thanks to our ambassador, Derek Redmond OLY, who joined us at Donington and supported the event. And, of course, Teddy, our mascot, who made a big impact with some special appearances on the grid and engaging with fans.
We also want to thank Briggs Equipment Limited, whose sponsored driver, Árón Taylor-Smith, became the 2024 Independent Champion! At Silverstone, Árón even had a special race suit for Air Ambulance Week, proudly displaying our logo which will be auctioned off to raise even more vital funds for our charity. We’re equally grateful to Smart Tab Products Limited for their support in the Porsche Carrera Cup, where Air Ambulances UK was prominently represented on Oli’s Porsche car throughout the season.
One of the most memorable parts of the season was hearing from visitors who stopped by to share how air ambulance charities have helped them. It’s a reminder of just how important these services are across the UK.
Thanks to everyone who joined us at the BTCC events, supported our cause, and contributed to the fundraising. We’re already looking forward to next season and the opportunity to keep raising awareness and supporting the UK’s air ambulance charities. See you next year!
