Midlands Air Ambulance Crowned Outstanding Charity of the Year

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, the rapid response, lifesaving charity and one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance operators in the UK, has been crowned Outstanding Charity of the Year at this year’s Asian Business Chamber of Commerce Awards, the lifesaving charity then went on to also win Overall ABCC Business of the Year.

Restart A Heart Day 2020

More than 30,000 people go into cardiac arrests outside of hospital in the UK every year. The chances of surviving a cardiac arrest drop 10 per cent a minute if CPR is not started, and survival rates are currently less than one in 10 people in this country. Last year, more than 200,000 children and young people across the country learnt cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Restart a Heart Day.

Royal Honour For SCAA Chairman

Everyone at Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) is thrilled to learn that chairman John Bullough has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

John, who was one of the founding trustees that showed the vision, passion and commitment to launch Scotland’s first and only charity-funded air ambulance service, has been given the honour in recognition of “Services to Emergency Healthcare in Scotland and to the community of Perth”.

£600,000 helipad operational at Hull Royal Infirmary

Cornwall Air Ambulance is set to feature in a new TV series to showcase its lifesaving work.
The 10-part documentary for Discovery will follow the charity’s critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots as they attend emergencies across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
