Works start on new Norwich base to allow air ambulance to fly 24/7

East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) staff, patients, supporters and volunteers all mucked in with spades on Friday 24 January to mark the start of the building works for the eagerly anticipated 24/7 EAAA Norwich base. Once completed, the new home of EAAA will allow the charity to operate its life-saving helicopter 24 hours a day from Norwich Airport, becoming the first air ambulance in the East of England to fly 24/7.

Unipart Logistics and Air Ambulances UK partnership is celebrated at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity Airbase

A partnership between Unipart Logistics and Air Ambulances UK has raised over £23,000 to help the nation’s 21 air ambulance charities save even more lives. The partnership came about as a result of a lifesaving mission to Unipart Logistics Chief Commercial Officer, Claire Walters, who was critically injured in a cycling accident in Cornwall in May. Claire was in collision with a car leaving her unconscious and critically injured with a collapsed lung, broken ribs, collarbone and vertebra, a dislocated knee and facial injuries.

DONATION LIGHTS UP EMERGENCY HELIPADS ACROSS LINCOLNSHIRE AND NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

With thanks to a generous donation from the HELP Appeal, new helipad lighting has recently been installed at three different landing sites frequently used by the life-saving crew at Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.

Landmark number of missions for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) has been tasked a total of 25,000 missions since the Charity was founded 21 years ago. This landmark figure was reached on January 1st when the team attended a road traffic collision in Hertfordshire.
